"Dead" Nigerian Woman Show Face For London

One Nigerian woman, June Ashimola, wey dem declare dead since 2019, don appear for court through videolink from Nigeria to stop one convicted fraudster, Tony Ashikodi, from seizing her house wey worth £350,000 (about N696 million) for London, UK.
Ashimola, wey be 55 years old, reportedly leave UK for Nigeria in 2018 and never return. But dem declare am dead in February 2019, and dat start one long legal battle over her estate.
Court records show say power of attorney over her estate, wey consist mainly of one house, been granted to one Ms. Ruth Samuel, wey dey act on behalf of one Bakare Lasisi, wey falsely claim say him marry Ashimola in 1993. But Judge Deputy Master John Linwood rule say di marriage be fake and say Lasisi no exist.
Judge Linwood also find out say Tony Ashikodi, wey be convicted fraudster, be di one wey orchestrate di elaborate scheme to seize Ashimola's house. Ashimola's identity been verified through passport photographs, and Judge Linwood dismiss di claims against her estate.
After reviewing di evidence, Judge Linwood rule say, "I find Ms Ashimola is alive and dat di death certificate be forged and/or fraudulently obtained or produced or concocted." Judge also accuse Ashikodi of trying to mislead di court and find out say both Ashikodi and Samuel either directly involve in producing di fraudulent documents or knowingly rely on dem.
As a result, di power of attorney been revoked, and Ashimola's rightful ownership of her £350,000 property been safeguarded. Di court also hear say di legal costs incurred by both parties don exceed £150,000, wey may surpass di property's equity value.
