France on Saturday morning erased the u20 world cup record of 9 goals  to nothing held by Brazil and Canada by ourscoring same Bula ladies of Fiji Island by 11-0 in group B last round matches. 

Liani Joseph of France became the first player to score 4 goals in a match by scoring in the 10th, 45+3, 55 and 80th minutes.

Dona Scannepieco also got a brace in the 49th and 54th minutes to make her goals haul four in the tournament having scored 2 against Canada.

Central Defender for Fiji, Angeline Rekha had scored an own goal in the 15th minute when the pressure was too much.

Other scorers were Lola Lejeune who opened goals account for the match in the 2nd minute; Chloe Neller scored 14th minute; Pauline Haugou scored via penalty in 41st minute while Melinda Mendy rounded up the match with the 11th goal via penalty in 90+5th minute.

In the other group match also played this Saturday morning between Brazil and Canada, Associaco Ferroviaria of Brazil (currently 2nd on the Brazilians female table) forward Vendito Coeho scored in the 35th minute from Dudinho's assist to emerge current highest goal scorer at Colombia 2024 U20 female world cup with 5 goals. She scored 2 goals each against France and Fiji Island.

Canada lost a penalty chance to VAR in the 48th minute.

Brazil which has not conceded a single goal in Colombia scored the 2nd goal through Chaves Firmino in the 90+9th minute from Da Silva connect.

And so Brazil topped group B with maximum 9 points and 14 goals; France came 2nd with 4 points and goals difference of 8; Canada came 3rd also with 4 points and 7 goals difference while Fiji obviously goes home having no point and conceding a marvellous 29 goals making you wonder how the team qualified for the tournament.

On 11th September at Bogota, Brazil will meet a lucky loser from groups A/C/D in the round of 16 matches; also that day in Bogota Mexico will play a team yet to be determined in R16 stage; also that day at Cali, hosts Colombia will meet lucky loser from C/D or E while on 12th September France will meet the 2nd team from group F in Madelin.

Nigeria plays tonight at 2100 hours against Venezuela and South Korea faces Germany to determine qualifiers from group D.

At midnight, Morocco will tackle Spain while USA will slug it our with Paraguay to determine qualifiers from group C.

At 2100 hours of Sunday, Argentina will play a survival match against Costa Rica while Netherlands faces North Korea in group F last matches.
