Ndubueze Chidoka has been re-elected as President of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Cooperative Society, Headquarters, after defeating three other contenders in a tightly contested election.

Chidoka polled 97 votes out of the 309 total ballots cast, beating Daniel Alapa, who came second with 90 votes. Lucky Omonua secured 61 votes, while Abubakar Shehu followed closely with 60 votes. One vote was recorded as invalid.

In his acceptance speech, Chidoka who was two -term FCT SWAN  before delving into moving Cooporative affairs expressed gratitude to members for renewing his mandate, describing the victory as “a new challenge” and promising to build a more vibrant and transparent cooperative.

“It’s a new challenge for me, but I am happy that I had the majority among the electorates today. For me, all of us are winners. I will meet with the other three presidential aspirants to discuss their views on moving our cooperative forward,” he said.
He noted that the next two-year tenure would enable him to consolidate ongoing projects, including the Idu and Gwagwalada land initiatives, while urging members to remain patient and confident in the new Executive Committee.

Chidoka assured members that the new leadership is committed to improving the cooperative and sustaining the trust reposed in them.
