 Monday Nas Ozoya,

Dear Esteemed Stakeholders in Nigerian Football,

I humbly appeal to all decision-makers and contributors to the beautiful game in our country to unite and establish a robust National Football Philosophy. This philosophy should be the foundation for a cohesive and progressive system that elevates our grassroots football and aligns with international standards. My vision for this philosophy encompasses the following critical elements:

1. Centralized Data Management System
Establish a unified database to manage player registrations, training records, certifications, and development progress. This system will streamline the training and education of coaches, referees, and team managers, ensuring consistency and accountability nationwide.

2. Player Development Strategy
Implement a structured development pathway for players that provides age-appropriate environments to nurture their technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth. This strategy should standardise playing standards and facilitate the long-term development of talent.

3. Child Protection and Clearance for Under-17s
Introduce mandatory background checks and clearance for anyone working with players under 17 years of age to protect young athletes from abuse and exploitation.

4. Safeguarding, Welfare, and First Aid Training
Ensure that everyone involved in the game—coaches, referees, volunteers, and administrators—receives safeguarding and first aid training. This will create a safe and supportive environment for players at all levels.

5. Comprehensive Insurance Coverage
Provide insurance coverage for all clubs, football academies, and grassroots teams. This will safeguard players, staff, and clubs from unforeseen challenges and promote sustainability within the football ecosystem.

6. Uniformity and Consistency Across the Country
Standardise operational and developmental frameworks across all regions and memberships to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose.

7. International Alignment in Youth Development
Ensure our youth development structures mirror global best practices, making it easier for our players to transition to international platforms and excel in competitive environments.

8. Funding for Grassroots Development
Create funding mechanisms to support grassroots clubs and teams, ensuring they have the resources to nurture talent and provide opportunities for aspiring footballers.

By coming together to implement these initiatives, we can create a sustainable and prosperous football culture in Nigeria that benefits all stakeholders and raises the profile of our grassroots football.

This is my humble contribution to the growth and development of the game in our nation. Let us unite to build a brighter future for Nigerian football.
