Following the official draw for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B Qualifiers, Sam Nelly goalkeeper Anams Lilian has expressed confidence that her side will progress from the group stage.

The draw produced two groups:

Group A

🇳🇪 AS Garde Nationale
🇧🇫 USFA

Group B
🇳🇬 Bayelsa Queens
🇬🇭 Police Ladies
🇹🇬 ASKO
🇧🇯 Sam Nelly

Speaking after the draw, the former Delta Queens shot-stopper said her team is prepared for the challenge ahead.

"We’ve been waiting to know our opponents and now we do. We won’t underrate any team in Group B — they are all strong sides. We are ready for this, and we’ll work hard to qualify from the group stage. Every match will be approached with a winning mentality."

Anams, who played a crucial role in Sam Nelly’s league title triumph, also called on fans to rally behind the team as they target a spot in the main CAF Women’s Champions League tournament.

The CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B Qualifiers will take place from August 23 to September 4, 2025, in Côte d’Ivoire.
