Burnley of England Youth Team defender, Noah Adekoya, has expressed interest in serving his country of origin if Nigeria football authorities demand for his services, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The 18-year-old right sided centre-back currently plays for Burnley U18s following a move from Liverpool U12s on a two-year contract.

Adekoya, born of Nigeria parents, Ralph and Tracey Adekoya, in West Lanchashire, United Kingdom, made his Burnley U18s debut in a 1-0 victory away at Watford on 18th March 2023, whilst an U16’s player.

He's in the second year of his development at Burnley FC.

Born on 22 November, 2006, in West Lancashire, England, the 1.93m defence trojan has remained an integral part of Burnley U18s squad since 2019.

"I made my debut for the U18s in a 1-0 win away at Watford on 18th March 2023, whilst still an U16’s player", Noah told Exclusivenews.com.ng.

"And since then, I've continued to start regularly with the U18s for the rest of that season".

"I signed a two-year scholarship deal in May 2023, having been offered a scholarship whilst playing for the U14s.

"I've also featured for the U21s for the latter part of the 2023/24 season in 15-plus games across competitions".

Would the young defensive dazzler be open to Nigeria duties? His response was in the positive.

"The joy of every footballer is to be recognised by his country with a call up. I'm not different. If such opportunity comes up, why not?".

The Nigerian teenage stopper with incredible passing quality and knack for surging upfield to support attack, trained with the first team of Burnley under former manager, Vincent Kompany and Scott Parker.

Vincent Kompany, a former Manchester City Captain, was Burnley Manager between June 14, 2022 through May 29, 2024.

Noah Adekoya also operates as either a left of right sided centre-back and known for his passing style of football.
