The chairman of Enugu Rangers supporters club, Mr Uche Iroakazi has made bold to declare that the return of Enugu Rangers back to the cathedral was the perfect tonic needed by the league leaders to ascend the summit of the NPFL.

Addressing news men earlier today in Enugu, the Ngwo-born football administrator bullishly declared the impact the return to the cathedral has had on the flying antelopes as the jostling for a podium finish intensifies in the ongoing NPFL season.

"The 3-year hiatus was very challenging and difficult, not playing in front of our home fans posed massive challenge for over 3 years, but during those turbulent days we were still able to navigate through, but obviously we really missed the raucous atmosphere at the cathedral until the new administration gave us the much needed relief which I boldly declare was the perfect tonic which complements our present position as league leaders, it's not magic, it's actually the right process and I believe that's where we will remain even before the last game of the season in Gombe state we would have been crowned champions". The bullish Chairman concluded.

In his words for the new Rangers management led by Amobi Ezeaku, he expressed optimism stressing no other could have done better than the young Nsukka Born General Manager.

"Amobi Ezeaku is a young football administrator in heart and in spirit. I went throughout the streets of Enugu campaigning for him, because I knew and was confident he's the man Rangers needed to thrive in the hotly contested NPFL season because of his wealth of experience in the football space and most importantly his relationship with both the players and the technical crew. He came on board, and the floodgates opened as much expected, look at where we are today on the table, this thing is not rocket science, it's actually a case of round peg in a round hole".

The Rangers supporters club chairman also lavished encomiums on coach Fidelis Ilechukwu while highlighting his massive influence on the team.

"Fidelis Ilechukwu is a young coach who understands the dynamics of the modern game which is quite crucial, he's got top character both on and off the pitch, his players are happy with him, the blend from the tactician to the players I must say was part of the springboard to our ascending the NPFL log summit, this is our season, the trophy is returning back to the cathedral after 8 years exile".

The flying antelopes will be yearning for a return to winning ways in the aftermath of a match week 31 defeat at the  Adokiye Amiesimaka against Rivers United as they welcome Plateau United at the cathedral on April 28.

Enugu Rangers Fans! Come out enmasse let's roar to victory for the set time is now, so says Mr Uche Iroakazi.
