Renowned Nollywood actor Browny Igboegwu has boldly spoken out against the prevalence of hypocrisy and fake relationships within the Nigerian film industry.

On Tuesday, Igboegwu took to Instagram to express his frustration:

"Let's stop the fake love in Nollywood! You publicly criticize a colleague, then celebrate them the next minute. That's daylight witchcraft!"

He cautioned colleagues to:

"Be genuine with your intentions. If you can't say something positive, stay silent."

Igboegwu vowed to distance himself from backstabbers:

"From now on, I'll avoid those who pretend to be friends but speak ill behind others' backs."
