Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited, Newcross Petroleum Limited and Newcross Exploration and Production Limited have announced the appointment of Engineer Ahmadu Musa Kida, into their Boards, as an Independent Non-Executive Director. 


Commenting on the appointment, the Group Managing Director, Mr. Steven Fadeyi, said the appointment of Engr. Musa Kida to the boards reflect the companies' commitment to reinforcing good corporate governance and improving overall corporate performance and image of the companies. 


With close to over four decades of experience and flawless career in the oil and gas industry, Engr. Kida brings to the company his extensive and vast experience of excellent service delivery into his new role. He started his career as a trainee engineer at the then ELF Petroleum Nigeria, as a materials coordinator. 


While at TotalEnergies, Engr. Kida led several onshore and offshore gas projects. He retired as Deputy Managing Director of TotalEnergies, Deepwater District, and as a Board member of both Nigerian affiliates; TotalEnergies Upstream companies in Nigeria (TUCN) and TotalEnergies Exploration and Production (TEPNG). Engr. Kida, voluntarily retired from TotalEnergies in 2020, after 35 years of meritorious service.  


Speaking on his appointment, Engr. Kida, who is also a multiple awards winning sports administrator and President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, said he is optimistic about the potentials of Pan Ocean and Newcross, emphasising the organisations' vision to become trailblazers in innovation and operations, a direction he is willing to lend his expertise and experience to, for the overall good of the companies and Nigefia as a whole. 


Engr Kida is equally optimistic that his tenure will contribute to promoting good governance, operational efficiency, and overall growth, that will reposition the group for the future, and for good.
