Boboye Salutes Resilient Heartland Players For Caging Rampant Shooting Stars
BY SAB OSUJI
Man on rescue mission, Kennedy Boboye, has heaped plaudits on his Heartland soldiers for holding out for a point against rampant Shooting Stars in a scoreless draw on Sunday in Ibadan during a Match Day 11 2023/2024 NPFL clash, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
It was Boboye's second match in charge since arriving the five time champions on a rescue mission.
Heartland held out strongly to contain the ferocious incursions of the Oluyole Warriors to Snatch a draw, their seventh draw in the campaign.
"For us, it was a good game and I want to congratulate the players for a job well done", starts a visibly thrilled Boboye.
"It was a tough game, but the players put up their best performance to resist the home team from scoring as they were unable to score," Boboye said.
"We came to Ibadan hoping for a win but the draw is better than losing the game. We will go back home and work on improving what we have.
"We will prepare very well for the game with Bendel Insurance and go for a win by God's grace", the former Plateau United and Akwa Utd NPFL winning coach said.
