Wahala don enter marriage matter for Lusaka, Zambia, as one bishop of popular church for John Laing area don drag him wife go court after she allegedly stab am with knife for hand and head, still pull him manhood.

 

The bishop, Maxwell Mwanza, wey be 39 years old, accuse him wife, Cynthia Bwalya, 32, of unlawful wounding. According to am, the incident happen on November 17, 2025.

 

As Zambia Observer report, when the case come up for Lusaka Magistrate Court before Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli, Cynthia appear calm for court and plead not guilty to the charge. The court don adjourn the matter till January 22, 2026.

 

When Bishop Maxwell report the case to police, he explain say problem start after misunderstanding between am and him wife that day. He say later for night, when he go bed, his wife come lie down with am.

 

Around 2:00 a.m., the bishop say he hear his wife dey talk on phone with another man. According to am, he hear her dey ask the man make e escort her go Nalusanga, where she say she wan go collect cattle.

 

In anger, Maxwell say he collect the phone from her and question why she dey call another man for night, especially inside him house and in his presence.

 

He allege say Cynthia reply am say, “You be very foolish, make I show you,” before she carry broomstick try beat am. As he block am, she remove the key from the locked bedroom, open am and comot.

 

The bishop say later the woman come back with knife, lock the room and begin stab am for hand and head. As he try escape, she still stab am for back before the key fall from her hand.

 

Maxwell tell police say na so he manage pick the key, escape from the room, lock his wife inside and go report the matter to police.

 

Apart from the stabbing, Cynthia also dey face allegation say she pull her husband private part during the fight.

 

The case come just two weeks after another woman for Lusaka receive six months jail sentence after she pour hot water on her husband during argument, as gender-based violence cases continue to worry residents.
