Latvian top-division side BFC Daugavpils have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Joel Yakubu on loan from Czech club Slovan Liberec until the end of the season.

The move has been approved by Slovan Liberec as part of plans to ensure the young attacker gets regular playing time and continues his development at the top level. Yakubu is expected to play a key role in Daugavpils’ attacking setup as they push for a strong finish to the campaign.

The 20-year-old, who celebrated his birthday last week, is understood to be eager to seize the opportunity to prove himself, gain valuable experience, and showcase his talent in Latvia’s top flight.
