Nollywood actress Beverly Naya recently shared her thoughts on what she believes would improve relationships between Nigerian men and women. 
In an interview with Nollywire, Naya emphasized the importance of men embracing their emotional vulnerability and understanding women's needs.

While initially offering a lighthearted response about changing "cheating," Naya delved into the deeper issue of societal conditioning that discourages men from expressing their emotions freely.

"One thing I've noticed is that when a man is able to be vulnerable with a woman... he's in love with her," Naya said. "Men, especially Nigerian men, are conditioned to believe vulnerability is a sign of weakness, and I don't agree with that. I would love that to change."

Naya went on to explain how she believes open communication and emotional connection are key to healthy relationships. "When a woman feels seen, she's going to move mountains for you," she stated. "Feeling cherished, seen, and protected are crucial because it makes her feel valued."

Naya's call for increased emotional vulnerability coincides with the upcoming release of her new film, "Insecure," which explores themes of love, heartbreak, and betrayal. The film, directed by Benn Nwokike, hits cinemas on March 8, 2024, and also stars Venita Akpofure, Ade Laoye, Demi Bawo, Anthony Azekwoh, and Micheal Ejoor
