Bayelsa United has issued a two-match ultimatum to its players and coaching crew following a string of disappointing performances in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

 

The directive was made by Club Chairman, Dr. Tarilaye Nwankwe, during an emergency meeting with the team at their camp in Yenagoa. He expressed deep frustration over the club’s underwhelming results, especially in light of the significant financial backing provided by the Bayelsa State Government.

Failure to improve in these matches could trigger sweeping changes in the team setup.

The ultimatum comes on the heels of the club’s disappointing performance against newly-promoted Kun Khalifat last Sunday — a match many fans expected Bayelsa United to dominate.
