Bauchi State Government don announce say 653 workers for state civil service must retire, while another 61 workers choose to leave voluntarily for 2025.

 

This one na according to statement wey Saleh Umar, Information Officer of State Civil Service Commission, release on Wednesday.

 

Umar talk say the commission handle over 3,000 personnel cases during the year, wey include promotions, cadre upgrades, transfers, dismissals, voluntary and compulsory retirements.

 

“Na through 28 scheduled activities wey we review all these cases, and we hold 91 sittings to sort am,” Umar explain.

 

The commission also confirm say 1,178 officers don get promotion across different grade levels, while 493 workers don redeploy enter other cadres within the civil service.

 

For the period under review, three civil servants don get dismissed, while one officer lose appointment because of professional misconduct.

 

Umar add say more than 3,500 pending files, including overdue promotions and other routine administrative matters, don resolve, wey dey help reduce wahala for ministries, departments, and agencies.

 

He conclude say this development don allow the commission to start 2026 personnel processes clean, free from backlogs.
