The Ex-UNIBADAN Footballers Association (EXUIFA) has completed and is set to commission the Renaissance Africa Energy 5-Aside Artificial Arena at the University of Ibadan Stadium, a landmark project delivered as part of the Association’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The Association, which has been active for the past ten years, facilitated the project in partnership with Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, the key sponsor of the new sports facility.

According to an official release from EXUIFA, signed by its President, Edwin Evbie, the commissioning will be performed by the Vice Chancellor of Nigeria’s premier university, Professor Kayode Adebowale, on Friday, 21 November 2025 at 3 p.m.
He will be supported by Engineer Anthony Attah, the MD/CEO of Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, whose company played a central role in the arena’s construction.

Describing the new arena as a major milestone for the institution, Evbie explained that the project is dedicated to advancing sporting excellence at the University of Ibadan. He noted that the commissioning ceremony will be preceded by a novelty match between EXUIFA members and staff of Renaissance Africa Energy.

Evbie also reminded Association members that the annual reunion program will hold on Saturday, 20 December, as preparations continue for what promises to be a memorable celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community development.

The newly built arena is expected to boost grassroots football, enhance training opportunities, and strengthen the sporting culture within the University community.
