Football stakeholders in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory has returned Ibrahim Bako as the Chairman of the Gwagwalada Football Council. Also returned unopposed is Babatunde Akintade (Bocknor) as the Vice Chairman, with Moses Obenda coming in as a new member.

The  Board members are to serve for another four years. They were elected in 2020 in the first tenure.

Declaring the result, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee Barrister Mohammed Lawal said with power bestowed on him that the candidate having met the electoral guidelines have been returned elected.

In his acceptance speech, Ibrahim Bako was full of appreciation to the delegates for the confidence they have in him and his Board members, and promised to consolidate on what they achieved in the first tenure.  He promised to continue to run an all inclusive government that will lead to further development of game in Gwagwalada and its environs.

It could be recalled that elections were also held in five other Football  Councils in FCT
