Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that no fewer than 21 All Stars Clubs across Anambra State have confirmed participation in the 2024 edition of the Babatem/Anambra FA All Stars Football Competition.

That's not all. Draws for the competition exclusively meant for retired footballers of 40 years and above, has been billed to hold at the FA Secretariat, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, 27 June 2024.

The competition, it was gathered, has a N1m star prize.

Checks reveal that Ekwuluobia All Stars, Nkpor Veterans Recreation Club, Nkpor and Unity FC Awka are amongst the 21 All Stars Clubs that have concluded their registration/participation formalities ahead Thursday's draw.

Others include Puma All Stars Army barracks, Onitsha, Peace FC All Stars Awka, Fegge All Stars Onitsha, Great inland United FC Fegge, Liberty All Stars Football Club Atani, Great Stars FC Awka, Ogbaru All Stars Football Club and 
Evergreen FC Awka.

Uncle Ralph All Stars,  Mgbakwu, Old skuul All Stars Awka, Awka Capital Elite Football Club Awka. Housing football club Onitsha, Obosi All Stars Football Club Obosi, Enugwu Ukwu Old Boys Football Association Enugu Ukwu, Ogbaru 1 Constituency Football Club Okpoko; Metu Memorial Old Boys; Villa All Stars Football Club Awka and PRO All Stars onitsha.

The competition is the brainchild of the Anambra FA Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi. The first edition took place in 2023, in Awka.
