... Describes him as round peg in round hole

The recent appointment of the former Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government area of Ogun State, Hon. Tele Ogunjobi as the Executive Director (Finance), South West Development Commission (SWDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR has been described as a round peg in a round hole.

ASELGON, which recalled the new appointee as a man of very rich and deep experience disclosed that as a former Special Assistant to the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Federal Commissioner, Nigeria Energy Commission among others would bring the vast experience to bear on his new portfolio.

Praising Mr. President for identifying and discovering a talent of Hon. Ogunjobi's stature, ASELGON President maintained that his appointment would be highly beneficial both to the Commission in particular and to the country in general.

While asking the former LG boss to maintain his identified values as indisputable 'Omoluabi' in Yoruba concept, ASELGON said, "as our ambassador, we are very proud of you and want to assure you of our unalloyed support, because your success is our success.

"If you do it well, it would open more doors for our association as a progressive and forward- looking one which we are and engender more confidence in Mr. President about us as a desirable partner in progress to identify and work with.

"We once again salute Mr. President for this indirect honour to our association and as the proverbial Oliver Twist, we ask for more. As former Chief Executive Officers of Local Government Councils across the country, we are experienced and adequately equipped for any national assignment Mr. President may deem fit for us", the association added.

Hon. Asipa on behalf of the association offered words of prayers for the new appointee, asking God to give him Solomonic wisdom, knowledge and understanding with which to navigate his new path as well as robust and sound health too, so that everybody would praise God and rejoice with him when he completes the assignment.
