Chikelue Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles defender and current Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, has continued his push for the development and promotion of football in Anambra State especially from the grassroots, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Iloenyosi, who is fondly called 'De General', has become a rallying point for football in Anambra State with his sustained grassroots program since mounting the mantle of leadership of ANSFA few years ago.

The former U23 Olympic Eagles defender who has made Anambra State the football destination, recently ensured that National U17 Golden Eaglets Coach, Manu Garba, conducted a talent hunt program to select eligible players for the U17 National Team in Anbra State, the first time ever, on Monday, payed a working visit to the Deputy Comptroller General, DCG, Customs, Bello Jibo, in his Abuja office.

Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that the high point of their discussion centered on issues relating to grassroots football development in Anambra State.

"And DCG Bello Jibo is a passionate football lover especially at the grassroots level.

"He's willing and prepared to help in our grassroots football program in Anambra State", Iloenyosi told Exclusivenews.com.ng.

Anambra State Football Association has lined up series of grassroots football programs including State football league competition that will soon kick off.

It's not yet known which of such programs DCG Bello Jibo would key into in his efforts to help discover, develope and promote young talents.
