Anambra All Stars Tournament :Fegge All Stars Emerges Champion

MANFES/ANSFA All Stars Football Competition after seeing off Great Inland All Stars FC of Fegge 3-1 in the grand finale of the competition played at the Rojenny Stadium Oba on Sunday, 17th August, 2025.
Uche Okaka opened the scoring for Fegge All Stars in the 28th minute, before Great Inland All Stars FC’s Goalkeeper Somuaina Onyemaechi restored parity from the penalty spot in the 40th minute.
Fegge All Stars capitalized on their numerical strength after their opponents had a man dismissed for a two bookable offense as Emmanuel Chimaobi bagged a brace scoring in the 59th and 75th minutes to put the game beyond Great Inland All Stars FC for the star prize of N1.5million on offer.
Great Inland All Stars FC settled for the second prize of N700,000 while Anambra State All Stars FC who saw off Villa All Stars FC 2-0 earlier on in the third and fourth placed playoffs courtesy of goals from Chidi Obiakor and Nnaife Anyaegbunam in the 66th and 72nd minute, settled for the third prize of N500,000.
In other individual awards, the Best Goalkeeper gong went to Christian Ubaeze of Anambra All Stars FC, Highest Goal scorer award went to Chidi Obiakor of Anambra All Stars FC with 7 goals while the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award was clinched by Chimaobi Emmanuel of Fegge All Stars.
Reacting after the match, the benefactor of the competition, Chief Festus Udungwu commended the teams for their display during the early stages of the competition till the grand finale. Udungwu informed that the competition is a platform created to promote the growth of football in the state and to foster unity and bonding among the people.
Chief Udungwu assured that the annual football competition has come to stay as he intends to further bankroll it's next five editions. He also commended Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo for proving an enabling environment for sports to thrive in the state while also eulogizing the ANSFA for their technical inputs towards ensuring a hitch free competition.
On his part, the Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, who was on hand to observe the grand finale and ensure a hitch-free event, expressed his satisfaction with the tournament’s organization and the level of competition displayed by the teams.
Chief Iloenyosi assured that the competition which has come stay has been mainstreamed fully into the activities and programme of the state Football Association. The top football administrator in the land also commended Chief Udungwu for his philanthropic gesture in sponsoring the competition.
Highpoints of the occasion was the decoration of the winning teams with their medals, presentation of individual awards and the winning trophy.
