Kano, Nigeria - Aminu Ibrahim, a respected chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from Kano State, has issued a statement urging all aspirants and stakeholders to wait until 2025 to contest elections into the National Working Committee (NWC).

Ibrahim noted that the current NWC was elected for a four-year tenure, which is set to expire in December 2025. He advised aspirants to focus on other important issues within the party, rather than seeking to contest for positions prematurely.

Furthermore, Ibrahim appealed to governors and National Assembly members to continue supporting the current NWC until the end of their tenure. This, he believes, will promote unity and stability within the party, and ensure that the current leadership can complete their term without distractions or challenges.

In addition, Ibrahim specifically advised the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, to unite the governors in supporting the current NWC till the end of their tenure in 2025. He emphasized the importance of a united front among the governors in maintaining party cohesion and advancing the party's interests.

"We must prioritize the stability and progress of our great party," Ibrahim said. "I urge all aspirants, stakeholders, and governors to support the current NWC until the end of their tenure in 2025."
