Alex Ekubo Sends Message To President Tinubu
Nigerian actor, Alexx Ekubo has made an emotional appeal to President Bola Tinubu and other leaders to address the country's worsening economic crisis. In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 9, 2024, Ekubo shared a video featuring pictures he took with children in Kaduna State during the filming of Almajiri in 2021.
Ekubo expressed deep concern about the economic hardships faced by Nigerians, highlighting the dire state of the economy. He wrote, "Nigeria is currently experiencing its worst economic downturn, with inflation at its highest point in over 30 years, resulting in widespread hunger."
The actor urged leaders to take immediate action, pleading for a better standard of living. He specified urgent solutions, including a drastic reduction in electricity tariffs, fuel prices, and foreign exchange rates.
Ekubo addressed President Tinubu directly, begging him to take action, saying, "Please, Mr. President, do something. This is your chance to make a lasting impact. We are all begging."
The actor's emotional plea comes as Nigerians continue to protest against the economic crisis, with the #EndBadGovernment movement gaining momentum.
