Team Oyo entered the gold medals list through Ajibade Ibrahim as the 7th National Youth Games, Delta 2023 entered day three on Monday, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Ibrahim thus ended the Pacesetter State's long wait for gold as Nigerian youths compete with vigour and thrills in Asaba.

Ibrahim dusted fellow riders in the 10km male individual Cycling to haul the gold medal after crossing the finish line in 1mins:18.9secs to edge out Lagos and Kaduna who finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Oyo State’s Cycling coach, Akinola Oluwaseyi while speaking with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State,  BCOS, correspondent in Asaba was beamed with smile as he attributed Ajibade's success to hard work which he said had finally paid but stressed the team.

 Akinola assured that his cyclists will not rest on their oars.

Ibrahim Ajibade will next be in action on Wednesday when the 30km male Criterion Elimination event takes place.
