Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, Nigeria's Pillar of Sports, has urged Nigerians to use the period of Easter celebration as period of restitution for the good of the country.

Ejidike JP, spoke in his Easter Message to Nigerians, stating that  political leaders should take  bold steps towards  restitution especiallyas we celebrate Easter to mark the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ejidike emphasized that attitudinal change in morality, character and leadership styles are key to the realisation of the ideals of Easter celebration and the unity, progress and Prosperity of Nigeria as a nation.

Chief Agu Ejidike declared that 'if God, our creator loves us so much that he gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ who died on the cross of Calvary for the atonement of our sins, our lives should therefore reflect love and restitution at this particular period of our nation building'.

He therefore called for genuine repentance from our ways of corruption, impunity, injustice and embezzlement of public funds.

According to the Sports philanthropist, "the spirit of Easter is all about hope, love and joyful living as he prayed God to give us a heart of genuine restitution".

Ejidike frowned at the spate of kidnapping, killing and corruption now prevalent in the country which, he noted, grossly affect the economy leading to inflation and hunger in the country.

He commended the Federal government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nipping in the bud the kidnapped school children in Kaduna State as well as the national honours bestowed on the fallen Nigeria soldiers in Delta State community clash as he tasked the government to do more in aspect of insecurities.

" Easter is a period of sober reflection on our lives, a period to repent from all our sinful ways, and chart the way of the Lord so that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ would not be in vain. Let us change our attitude. Let us love ourselves. Let us be of Godly behavior as I wish everyone happy Easter", Ejidike sounded.

He called on Christians to continue to pray for our country, Nigeria that God should intervene in all aspects of leadership and governance so that the citizens would no longer suffer in the midst of plenty.
