Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime has expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the African Awards in USA for nominating her for the award. 

Judith who spoke from her base in Atlanta, Georgia USA said she would dedicate the award to the girl child in Nigeria and Africa in general, if she eventual wins the award. 

She said that girl child in Africa continues to excel despite the difficulties she faces in the continent. 

The African Award is aimed at celebrating the achievements of Atlanta’s African Communities in 
Atlanta, Georgia.  

Judith Chime has been nominated for the award following her philanthropic gestures to the African girl child. She Organizes the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup Championship yearly and support the best goalkeeper of the Nigeria Women Football League with cash gift for the past one year. The award is on weekly basis. 


The African Awards USA is  a special event celebrating the multiple achievements and accomplishments of the African communities in Atlanta, Georgia. 

The highly anticipated event,  will feature live entertainment, dinner and a party following the awards presentation where winners, nominees and attendees can mingle and make meaningful connections.

 The event will be held on April 27 at the Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel. 

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the Black Excellence Awards for a fourth year,” says Abigal Thomas, Executive Director of the African Awards USA. “Not only we are thrilled, but we’re excited to have dedicated leaders from various African countries participate in this year’s awards night. This is just the beginning of what unity should be". 

The African Awards USA recognizes the talent, acumen and ingenuity of Americans of African descent who have made positive and selfless contributions to the betterment of Africans in their homeland as well as in the Diaspora.  

During this year’s event, 11 awards will be presented in the following categories: Outstanding Sportsmanship, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Actress, Humanitarian, Outstanding Fashion Designer, Outstanding Artist, Small Business Award, Outstanding Community Leadership/Activist, Outstanding Youth Achievement (18 to 25 years old), and Outstanding Medical Professional.
