Ebonyi State Stadium in Abakaliki, has won the hosting right of the Season 6 of the annual Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Pre Season Tournament with organisers firmly confirming August 23 as kick off date.

Organisers also confirmed that the week-long showpiece will terminate on August 30 when the final will be played at the green-lush Abakaliki Stadium.

Six NPFL clubs, including title holders, Abia Warriors, 2023/2024 NPFL  Champions Rangers, two time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba and Rivers Utd are all listed for the showpiece.

Other elite league clubs who have indicated interest in participating in the season 6 of the Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Pre Season Tournament are Akwa United and Bayelsa United just as Heartland, Coal
City Utd Enugu, Apex Krane,
Edel FC and Ebonyi United are amongst the NNL sides that will take part in the tournament billed for 
23 August-30th August.

Ekwueme, a former Super Eagles winger is the Representative of both Tico and Select, two Polish and Denmark Sportswear Manufacturing companies.
