Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba, Commissioner for Sports, Abia State, has promised to 'see' the players of Giant Empress Women Team if they go all the way in the 2023 Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup Championship holding in Asaba, Delta State, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Giant Empress will come up against Imo Strikers in today's Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup final billed for Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, at 4pm.

The 'God's Own State' team will have a tremendous task against the rampant Imo Strikers who are led in attack by Chidi Harmony, who sits leisurely atop the tournament's scorers table with 10 goals and twin strike terror, Oscar Precious with six goals.

And obviously in a manner suggestive of boosting the morale and confidence of the young damsels to see, and conquer Imo Strikers, the Hon. Commissioner told the Giant Empress players emphatically that he would 'see them' if they shock Imo Strikers in today's final and bring glory to the people òf Abia State.

"I'm impressed with their performance so far in the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup Championship in Asaba.

"They have so far demonstrated they are worthy Ambassadors of Abia State for which the Government and people of Abia State are happy and proud of.

"I'll see' them after the match if they win the final and bring the cup home", the Honourable Commissioner gleefully said ahead the 'Oriental Derby' final slated for 4pm at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
