Di new regent na Princess Adeyemi Faith Ajimo, 25-year-old graduate and first daughter of the late monarch. She come from Ole Ruling House, and her selection na after family and traditional council gree say na she go fit hold the stool till new king show.

 

One official letter wey dem send give Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government confirm her appointment. Di Alale Council of Chiefs sign di letter, and big chiefs wey back the decision include:

• High Chief Alakun of Igbelu Quarters

• High Chief Olubaka of Ibaka Quarters

• High Chief Olukusa of Okusa Quarters

• High Chief Asalu of Akua Quarters

• High Chief Alagure of Ilale Quarters

 

Na for family meeting wey Pa Thomas Olufe Olanipon — head of Ole Ruling House — lead, dem take decide say make Princess Ajimo carry the crown for now. Fourteen other princes join for the meeting and all of dem agree.

 

Di council don beg make the LG chairman tell correct authorities for Akoko South West and also Ondo State Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs about the matter. Dem also dey beg government to give full support, recognition, and endorse Princess Ajimo as the rightful regent.
