A 19-year-old native doctor, Timothy Dauda, has been detained by the Edo State Police Command for allegedly shooting his client, Alex Ezekiel, to death during a trial of an "anti-bullet" charm. The incident occurred on August 20 in Onumu Community, near Igara, Akoko Edo Local Government Area.

According to SP Moses Yamu, the Command's Public Relations Officer, the suspect was arrested by operatives from Igarra Divisional Police Station. Dauda claimed to specialize in preparing charms against gunshots and machete cuts.

The deceased had visited the native doctor's home to obtain the charm, but in a shocking turn of events, Dauda attempted to test the charm's efficacy by shooting the client with a gun. The charm failed, and the client sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Igarra.

The police spokesman confirmed that the suspect will face prosecution once investigations are concluded.
