Sixteen teams are set to participate in this year’s Festac Football Tournament, scheduled to take place at 23rd Stone Field Stadium.

 The 8-a-side tournament will see teams competing for the coveted title of the best in the region.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, which kicks off on October 1st in celebration of the country’s Independence Day, Chief executive  officer of  Munasomsop Iyamah and Co. Nigeria Limited,
Christopher Iyamah.  
 explained that the goal is to foster camaraderie among the youth in the estate and promote the growth of the game.

“We aim to create a platform for discovering new talent and contribute our share to the development of football in Lagos and Nigeria. Players born in Festac will also join the event, making it a showcase of local talent," he said.
