Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has taken to her Instagram story to share a heartfelt and empowering message aimed at young women who may be feeling lost or pressured by societal expectations.

 

Inspired by a post about a young girl’s struggles, the mother of four reached out to remind ladies that everyone’s journey is different, and that it’s okay not to have it all figured out. “Your timing is unique,” she wrote, urging women not to let family, culture, or social media dictate their sense of worth or progress.

 

“Start working on yourself. Find things that keep you moving, and do them! Turn off social media—even I do it very often,” she advised. “Surround yourself with things that give you hope and joy.”

 

She also encouraged young women to seek peace and clarity through a personal relationship with Jesus, saying, “Try that. I promise you’ll find joy in your journey.”

 

Omotola concluded her message with a reassuring reminder:

 

“It might not feel like that now. But key in, soon you’ll smile. You’ll see.”
