Police for Yobe State don arrest one 50-year-old man, Alhaji Hassan Umaru, for allegedly killing man wey dem say be lover to im wife during hot argument for Gulani Local Government Area of the state.

 

Police spokesman, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, talk this one for statement wey im release on Monday. According to am, the incident happen on Sunday for Bundila village.

 

Abdulkarim explain say both the suspect and the person wey die, 45-year-old Sukari Abdul, na people wey dey live for the same community.

 

Police say the wahala start for Bundila market square, and e connect with alleged extra-marital affair. During the quarrel, Umaru allegedly use cutlass attack Abdul, give am serious injury.

 

“Police operatives from Bara Divisional Police Headquarters quickly move go the scene and rush the victim go Bularaba Primary Health Care Facility, but doctor confirm say e don die,” the statement talk.

 

Police add say dem arrest the suspect immediately and recover the cutlass wey dem believe say na the weapon wey e use.

 

Dem don transfer the case go State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for proper investigation.

 

Reacting to the incident, Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, warn people make dem no dey take law enter their hand for marital or social issues. Im advise members of the public make dem always follow legal way to settle disputes, add say police go make sure say anybody wey commit crime go face the law.
