Nollywood actress and filmmaker Yewande Adekoya has shared a deeply personal account of a miscarriage she suffered in 2013, describing the experience as a life-changing moment that strengthened her faith in God.

 

In an emotional video posted on her verified Instagram page on Saturday, Adekoya recounted how her first pregnancy ended abruptly after she began bleeding heavily and was rushed to the hospital.

 

According to the actress, medical doctors later confirmed that she had lost the pregnancy and informed her that an evacuation procedure would be required the following day. She said the news left her devastated and overwhelmed with fear, having been told the procedure was extremely painful.

 

Adekoya explained that she cried throughout the night, weighed down by emotional pain and anxiety, before eventually falling asleep after taking medication.

 

She further narrated that she had a vivid dream in which a man dressed in white, whom she described as looking like a doctor, told her it was time for the evacuation and proceeded to carry out the procedure.

 

The actress said she later woke up in the night with a strong urge and went to the bathroom, where the miscarriage completed itself naturally without medical intervention.

 

She added that subsequent medical scans confirmed that there was no longer any need for evacuation, as the pregnancy had already passed.

 

Reflecting on the experience, Adekoya said the incident deepened her belief in God and His kindness, noting that although God’s ways may not always be fully understood, she believes they are purposeful.

 

She concluded by saying her personal experiences make it impossible for her to doubt the existence of God, describing Him as faithful and ever-present in her life.
