Anastesia Uzor, Greenfoot Academy forward has set an incredible record in the ongoing 2024 Judith Chime Championship holding in Enugu after scoring six goals in a single match, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The rampant forward now has eight (8) goals from three matches as the week-long women's football extravaganza enters its quarter final mark.

Anastesia had earlier scored twice in two previous group matches. In a post match interview, she said she has no enough words to express her joy over her personal performance and her team's progression in the tournament.

"I feel super excited, I've never done it before and I give all glory to God", says the forward.

"This is like a new milestone for me and I'm looking forward to achiving more".

Asked how she feels being the first player to score six goals in the Judith Chime Championship, petit Uzor responded that words cannot express how she feels.

"Words cannot express how I feel. I feel very excited", she responded.

Greenfoot Academy are through to the quarters after emerging unassailable leaders in their group with maximum nine points from three games. They will now meet Rising Stars of Ojoto, Anambra in Round of 8.

Asked how she looks forward to her team's upcoming knock out games, she said they need to work harder to achieve their set target.

"I'm just being open minded. We've to go back, work harder and put everything in the hands of God so we can achieve more.

"I thank my coach, my teammates and team manager for this 'very special' moment".

However, Greenfoot Coach, Favour Aneke, sees nothing special about his team scoring as many as nine unreplied goals in a single match.

"I feel good but there's nothing fantastic about scoring nine goals in a match", the young tactician said.

"You play to instruction, get the goals. This is a grassroot tournament and there's nothing special about the nine goals.

"It's not a big deal and you cannot really boast about it".

Asked if he's not impressed about the goals, he sits all about the flow of the game.

"It's not about the goals, it's about the flow of the game, the performance, goal doesn't matter 

On his team's chances against such organised teams like Imo Strikers, Coach Aneke said that as far as he's concerned Greenfoot are the best in the championship.

"As far as I'm concerned, my team is the best team in the championship.

"Imo Strikers is not a big threat. Hopefully we may meet them in the semi final or final if we get to that point and I'll do everything possible to get the team ready ahead of that moment.

"We're definitely going to do our best. We don't look down on any team. Yes, we've scored the most goals in the tournament so simply because, in the past, we used to create chances but don't take them. But Today, we took as many as the chances we created".
