Emmanuel Amuneke has drawn the golden rule, boldly assuring Governor Hope Uzodinma that Heartland would be back on the glorious path with the Governor's support.

The 53-year-old 1994 African Footballer of the Year spoke at the Executive Chambers of Government House, Owerri, Monday, during his unveiling as the new Technical Adviser of the club.

The former FC Barcelona of Spain winger ĺwas emphatic that he's always driven by the desire to succeed and that truth and objectivism remain his watch word.

"I always like us telling ourselves the truth at all times. I'm someone with objective and I don't involve myself in things I don't trust or not capable of  accomplishing", Amuneke said.

"Your Excellency, I recall when I went to Tanzania as a coach. During my unveiling as the technical adviser of their national team, (Taifa Stars), at that time, Tanzania had never played in the AFCON for 39 years.

"One thing I said to them was that we're going to qualify for the AFCON.

"Everybody thought it was a joke. But eventually, we qualified.

"So, your Excellency, you can be rest assured. I'm your eyes. With your support, we'll bring Heartland back to where it really belongs", the one time Zamalek of Egypt winger and scorer of Nigeria U23s winning goal against Argentina in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games men's football final said.
