Jesutega Onokpasa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has voiced his disappointment with President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, particularly over the worsening hunger crisis in Nigeria. Speaking on Arise News, Onokpasa expressed frustration at Tinubu’s inability to deliver on his promise of tackling hunger through massive food production.

Recalling Tinubu’s campaign pledges, Onokpasa said, “What Asiwaju promised us is that if we help him get to power, he is going to produce food massively to feed Nigerians. We didn’t envisage this bizarre level of comfortability with prices just skyrocketing out of control.”

The APC chieftain lamented the rising cost of living and questioned Tinubu’s reluctance to prioritize agriculture. “How can you be a president and prices of food are skyrocketing? If we can’t reduce the price of fuel, can’t we at least feed people?” he asked.

Onokpasa, visibly disheartened, added, “Nigerians are hungry, and it is shameful that President Tinubu seems detached from the reality of the people. I’m a Catholic, and I will book masses for him. Whatever is happening, let God deliver him from it.”

The politician called on Tinubu’s administration to urgently address the hunger crisis and fulfill its campaign promises to improve food security in the country.
