Doma United Head Akinade Onigbinde has insisted that his team cannot relent on their oars until the end of the season. 

Onigbinde said they have shifted their attention to their next match against Abia Warriors FC in Umuahia which is the last match of the first stanza. 

He said that the urge to end the season brilliantly is pushing them to quest for an away victory in Umuahia. "We need an away victory to round up the first round of the season". He said that they will reclaimed their position at the summit of the Nigeria Premier Football League table at the end of proceedings in Umuahia. 

In the match against Katsina United at the Pantami Stadium, early drama unfolded as Sani Suleiman, returning to the Doma lineup, connected well with Emmanuel Ekpenyong in the second minute, Ekpenyong meanwhile had a brilliant interplay with Samuel Enefiok before he raced past his marker and found Bidemi Owoku, who saw his initial shot blocked by the goalkeeper. However, Owoku displayed impressive tenacity and headed home to give Doma the lead within two minutes of kickoff.

United’s dominance continued, and their efforts were rewarded again in the 8th minute. Haruna Aliyu launched a long pass towards Andrew Majalisa, who had moved into an attacking position. Majalisa wasted no time in sending a low cross to Samuel Enefiok, who drifted past the goalkeeper at the far post to extend Doma’s advantage.

The home side remained in control despite the absence of Samuel Matthew in midfield. Sani Suleiman shone in the center of the park, while Saifullahi, usually a key figure, found himself on the bench.

Owoku had the chance to further extend the lead with a volley, but his effort sailed over the bar. Nonetheless, the Tigers went into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

While Katsina United held more possession in the second half, they failed to pose a serious threat to Kingdom Osayi in the Doma goal. Their best opportunity came through a headed effort that drifted wide, leaving them without a lifeline.

 The Savannah Tigers remain untroubled on home soil, maintaining their clean sheet record at the Pantami Stadium.
