The organizers of the forthcoming National Sports Festival, Ogun 2025, are set to raise the benchmark in the organization of Nigeria's own "Olympics." Hon. Bukola Olopade, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the National Sports Festival, has stated that the LOC is targeting profit maximization by the end of the games.

Olopade emphasized the strategic composition of the LOC, noting, "The LOC is made up of top sports bureaucrats who understand the dynamics of organizing a competition of this magnitude. This is why the governor has carefully selected them, coupled with the business astuteness of the state's top officials."

He highlighted the significant role of the Governor, whose experience in the business world has been instrumental in attracting major private organizations to support the event. "The governor's business acumen has enabled us to secure partnerships with major private organizations. Ogun State's status as an industrialized hub has made it easier to convince private firms of the value in being part of this event," Olopade explained.

Looking ahead to the financial outcome of the festival, Olopade expressed confidence in its success. "I am sure that by the end of the tournament, we will declare a profit," he concluded.

This ambitious approach not only aims to enhance the quality and scale of the National Sports Festival but also ensures a sustainable model that can set a new standard for future events in Nigeria. With robust planning and strategic partnerships, the Ogun 2025 festival is poised to be a landmark event in Nigerian sports history.
