Last year's Runners-up of the second edition of the Remmy Uche Soccer Challenge Cup and Champions of the 2023 Anambra Federations Cup, Ozalla FC have disclosed that they are well prepared for this season's edition of the competition with an eye on the trophy.

This disclosure was made by Ikenna Osueke, Proprietor of Ozalla FC during an interview with reporters on Sunday at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium Onitsha while watching the opening match between De Godz FC versus Niger Stars FC.

Osueke's team, Ozalla FC who lost 6-5 on penalties in the finals against De Godz FC stated that they are leaving no stones untouched in their preparation for the prestigious competition bankrolled by Real Estate developer, Chief Remigius Uchenna Anyadike.

"We are here again for the season three of the Remmy Uche Soccer Challenge and we are better prepared for the task ahead as we have an eye on the trophy and the prize money made available by the sponsor. Last year, we came close to winning it but we were unlucky having lost out via penalty shootouts to eventual champions De Godz FC.

"Recall that we learnt from that set back and responded well by winning the 2023 Anambra Federation Cup. We want to win the trophy this year to prove that getting to the finals was not by stroke of luck but to show that Ozalla FC has the Champions spirit and a team to reckon with when you talk about club football in Anambra State," Osueke said.

Osueke eulogized the benefactor of the Remmy Uche Soccer Challenge Cup, Chief Anyadike for having the interest of Anambra youths at heart by establishing and funding such competition aimed at showcasing the potentials endowed in Anambra youths.

The football Administrator also used the opportunity to plead with Anambra Government under Mr. Governor, H.E Prof. Charles Soludo to revive existing football pitches in the state and protect the few available as they are almost being taken over my the missionaries.
