WAFU Zone B Unveils Group Draws for 2025 Women’s Champions League Qualifiers

The West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B has officially announced the group stage draws for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

 

Nigeria Women’s Football League champions, Bayelsa Queens, have been drawn into Group B, where they will face:

• Police Ladies (Ghana)

• Association de la Kozah (Togo)

• Sam Nelly FC (Benin Republic)

 

Group A consists of:

• ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire)

• AS Garde (Niger)

• USFA (Burkina Faso)

 

Bayelsa Queens secured their spot in the regional qualifiers after emerging as champions of the 2025 NWFL Super 6 Playoff, reaffirming their status as one of the top women’s football clubs in the country.

 

The WAFU Zone B qualifying tournament is set to kick off on August 23, 2025, with the winners advancing to the CAF Women’s Champions League group stage later in the year.

 

Bayelsa Queens will be aiming to replicate and even surpass their strong 2022 performance, where they reached the semi-finals of the continental tournament.
