Hon. Ndubuisi Nwobu, immediate past Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra State, has been elected as Convocation Representative for the 10th Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

The election which was conducted on Friday, September 2024, across the University's Faculties and Campuses, saw Hon. Nwobu polling 205 votes to see off five other contestants in the race. 

Hon. Nwobu was declared winner by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi who was represented by the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Rev. Fr. Prof. Peter Agbonome at the University Auditorium, which served as the collation centre.
