Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, don condemn the call wey factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tanimu Turaki, make to American President Donald Trump and other Western nations to come intervene for Nigeria political wahala.

 

Wike talk this one on Wednesday when the board of the South-South Development Commission, led by chairman Chibudom Nwuche, visit am for Abuja. He describe Turaki statement as reckless, inflammatory and something wey fit threaten Nigeria national security.

 

E get as e be say Turaki, on Tuesday, tell journalists say Nigeria democracy dey “under siege” after rival PDP factions clash for the party national secretariat for Abuja. Turaki even talk say “genocide against Nigerian Christians” dey go on, as he beg foreign governments to “save Nigeria’s democracy.”

 

But Wike no gree with any of the talk.

 

“Imagine the level of irresponsibility,” Wike fire back. “You dey call Donald Trump to come save Nigeria democracy when you no fit obey simple court judgment. Court tell you make you no proceed until due process follow, you ignore am. Then you come blame government for your own impunity.”

 

Wike add say the PDP leadership crisis na pure internal matter wey the party cause for itself, and President Bola Tinubu administration no get hand inside the fight.

 

“You no fit arrange your own house, but you wan drag foreign government inside. Wetin be their business for your internal crisis? Our democracy no dey under any threat,” he talk.

 

Wike also condemn Turaki claim of “genocide against Christians,” saying na serious allegation wey nobody suppose take play-play.

 

“You go national television talk say Christians dey killed for genocide. That one mean say you dey accuse government directly. Where security agencies dey? Why dem never invite am make e bring the evidence wey e claim?” Wike ask.

 

The minister talk say statements like this suppose make security agencies question the person immediately, because national security no be thing to use play politics.

 

He warn political actors to stop dey trivialise sensitive issues all because of party fight, insisting say the stability of Nigeria must remain number one priority.

 

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump earlier threaten to invade Nigeria if government no address the alleged genocide. Since that statement, Nigerians don dey sharply divided—some dey support Trump talk, while others dey completely reject the idea.
