Ugoro FC, a new entrant into the football scene I Lagos, has affiliated with the Lagos State Football Association and are now getting prepared for the 2025/1026 Nationwide League One play-offs, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The Lagos based club are understood to have pooled together a long list of quality players to ensure their smooth run in the NLO campaign.

"We've affiliated with the Lagos State Football Association, LASFA. And we're currently recruiting top quality players for the coming NLO play-offs", Coach Ben Lotanna Ifejiofor said to Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Coach Lotanna had an illustrious career at Gabros International FC, Nnewi, before a move to Egypt.

"We're happy with the LASFA for their accepting us. We'll now work hard and ensure that we prepared well for the NLO play-offs coming up.

"Lagos is center for football excellence and we will keep that flag flying. As a new club, we know the challenges are bound to be enormous but we are determined to make the most of it.

"Our objective is to play only one season in the NLO and them move to the NNL. With hard work and support of the President and sponsor of Ugoro FC, Chief Anthony Atuegwu, we'll not disappoint our loyal supporters in our drive for excellence", Coach Lotanna Ifejiofor stated.

Chief Anthony Atuegwu is the President and sole financier of the club.
