Football: Two-Day Workshop on Sports Performance Analysis Kicks Off In Anambra With 56 Football Coaches and Administrators

The two-day capacity building Sports Performance Analysis workshop being organized by the Anambra State Football Coaches Association (ANSFOCA) in collaboration with Binary Sports Tech and Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) on Wednesday, 28th May, 2025 kicked off in Anambra State.
The two-day workshop which has fifty-six (56) participants comprising of professional football coaches in the state and Sports Administrators holding at the New Orleans Hotel, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka will hold from Wednesday, 28th May to Thursday, 29th May, 2025.
The workshop features two prominent football resource persons such as Dr. Isah Ladan Bosso, President of Nigeria Football Coaches Association and Mr. Idris Okeke, Founder of Binary Sports and Expert in sports performance analysis.
Declaring the workshop open on Wednesday, Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA), Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi stated that the workshop is the first of its kind in the state and the south east zone geared towards empowering football coaches and football administrators in Anambra State on reading and analyzing of professional football matches as well as rating sports performance of footballers with a view to improving team's play, coordination and performance during professional football matches.
Chief Iloenyosi who was represented by the ANSFA Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Chief Uzor Epundu averred that the workshop is a right step in the right direction geared towards improving and enhancing the careers of football coaches in the state in line with global best practices. The ANSFA boss charged the participants to make the best out of the opportunity to enhance their competences and capabilities.
In his remarks, Chairman of ANSFOCA, Evang. Obi Moneke informed that the workshop is a landmark programme geared towards equipping football coaches, intending football coaches and football afficionados in the state on knowledge about analyzing professional football matches, improving their knowledge about football coaching and exposure to recent trends in football analysis and coaching methodologies.
Evang. Moneke disclosed that the participants after the two-day sports performance analysis workshop will be fully inundated with the modern way of coaching and reading the game of football with a view to improving their team's performance during professional games. Moneke who doubles as the Team Manager of Nationwide League One club, Peace FC of Awka informed that the workshop is the first stage as the lectures and teachings by the resource persons will be delivered in modules.
On his part, one of the resource persons and founder of Binary Sports, Mr. Idris Okeke commended the ANSFA and ANSFOCA for their foresight and innovation in holding such as a capacity building workshop for football coaches in the state.
Mr. Okeke assured that at the end of the two-day sports performance workshop, the participants will be better equipped in football tactics and methodologies in line with global best practices which they will transcend into success stories for their various football clubs.
The opening day featured lectures on match-data analytics and statistics, structure of performance analysis in sports teams as well as performance analysis and it's importance for coaching.
