The Baale of Kirikiri Town has made serious allegations about controversial internet personality Bobrisky's supposed 2024 prison sentence, claiming the cross-dresser never actually served time behind bars.

In his statement, Chief Babalola Shabi alleged that Bobrisky (born Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju) smuggled eight ATM cards into the Kirikiri custodial facility, funneling approximately ₦35 million through local Point of Sale operators to bribe prison officials for preferential treatment.

"Before the truth came out, everyone believed he was in Kirikiri serving his time. But the reality is that Bobrisky was living comfortably outside the prison walls, thanks to a criminal collaboration involving some officials," the traditional leader stated.

Chief Shabi claims he personally intervened in the matter, initiating the investigation that led to serious consequences for those involved. "I personally called in the EFCC after I summoned the POS operators to my palace. From there, they were able to trace the transactions and decode the money trail," he explained.

The Baale confirmed that prison officials implicated in the scheme have been suspended, and that he has cooperated fully with both DSS and EFCC investigations.

Bobrisky was sentenced to six months imprisonment in 2024 after pleading guilty to charges of abusing Naira notes. The public widely believed he had completed this sentence until social media personality Very Dark Man claimed otherwise.

Further complicating matters, a viral audio recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky emerged on September 24, 2024, in which he claimed to have paid EFCC officials ₦15 million to drop money laundering charges and admitted to being housed in a private apartment rather than prison during his supposed incarceration.

Neither prison authorities nor the EFCC have officially commented on these allegations as of press time.
