Tinubu: We're Determined To Take Nigeria To The Promised Land 

President Bola Tinubu has expressed gratitude to the National Assembly for its unwavering support over the past 19 months, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to leading Nigeria toward a brighter future.

 

Speaking at his residence on Oyinkan Abayomi Drive, Ikoyi, Lagos, during a New Year homage by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and other members of the National Assembly, the President described the collaboration as pivotal in the transformative journey his government has undertaken.

“Nigerians are the heart of everything we are doing. We have come to serve. The transformative journey we have embarked upon is for all of us. It is for our tomorrow and for future generations. Your commitment will yield fruits for the babies yet unborn. Together, we will take Nigeria to the Promised Land,” Tinubu 

“We have confidence and competence. The enslavers want us to be anything but enslaved people, but we say no. We are determined, capable, and resolute.”

The President commended the dedication of the National Assembly and other government officials, highlighting their pivotal role in fostering unity and prosperity.

Senate President Akpabio’s Remarks:

“The National Assembly today is more united and fulfilled than ever. There is nothing we have ever requested from your administration that you have not obliged. This is historic and commendable,” said Akpabio.

• On 2023 Challenges and Hope for 2025:

“Nigerians faced significant challenges at the beginning of 2023, but by year’s end, more food and prosperity began to flow. We believe 2025 will be the year when every Nigerian will be proud of this administration.”

 

The homage was followed by a visit from members of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), further underscoring the administration’s commitment to fostering cooperation across all levels of governance for national progress.
