The Nigerian Army don again call on youths from the South-East region to join the military as new salary structure for soldiers under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration dey proposed.

 

According to the new pay structure wey still dey wait approval, soldiers go begin receive better salary once the plan pass into law.

 

Under the proposal, a Private soldier go dey earn about N300,000, while Lance Corporal go receive N350,000 and Corporal go earn N400,000.

 

For higher non-commissioned ranks, Sergeant go earn N460,000, Staff Sergeant N510,000, Warrant Officer N600,000, Master Warrant Officer N680,000, while Army Warrant Officer fit earn around N890,000.

 

For commissioned officers, Second Lieutenant go receive N510,000, Lieutenant N580,000, and Captain N690,000.

 

Other senior ranks go get higher pay with Major earning N770,000, Lieutenant Colonel N850,000, and Colonel N970,000.

 

For the top military leadership, Brigadier General salary fit reach N1.5 million, Major General N2.5 million, Lieutenant General N3.6 million, while a full General go earn around N4.9 million.

 

Military authorities say the adjustment na part of effort by the Federal Government to improve welfare of soldiers and encourage more young Nigerians to serve the country.

 

At the same time, the Nigerian Army again appeal specially to youths from the South-East region to enlist into the military so that every part of the country go get better representation inside the armed forces.

 

Officials say Nigerian soldiers deserve better welfare because of the sacrifices dem dey make daily to defend the country against insecurity.
