Enyimba Technical Adviser, Yemi Olarenwaju, and the People's Elephant Team Manager, Okey Nwabeke, were on Monday, 19 August unveiled at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, by organisers of the annual Ifeanyi Ekwueme Tico/Select Pre-Season Football Tournament, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Last week at Umuahia Stadium, officials of Abia Warriors were similarly unveiled.

On Monday 19 August, Aba, the Commercial nerve center of the South East, took its turn in the unveiling glee, with the public presentation of new Technical Adviser of Enyimba FC, Coach Yemi Olanrewaju “Yema”.

While Yema was presented with the SELECT branded Officials Wear for the tournament, the Team Manager of Enyimba FC, Prince Okey Nwabeke was equally presented with SELECT Match Balls for the tournament and SELECT branded Wears for his team officials.

Shortly after the unveiling, tournament sponsor, ex-international, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, disclosed that his company, EmeksSports Wears, in conjunction with TICO/SELECT,  are committed to providing a veritable platform for Nigerian teams in the NPFL and NNL for their preseason programmes.

The former Super Eagles winger who currently doubles as the Enyimba Int’l Sporting Director, maintained that in the past six seasons, the TICO/SELECT Preseason Tournament, has continued to gain popularity with top teams in Nigeria using it to prepare their new intakes as well as strategize ahead of new seasons.

Abia Warriors are the defending champions of the tournament which is in it’s sixth edition.

Ten teams will do battle in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state for this season’s preparatory contest with five NPFL clubs, Rangers Int’l, Enyimba FC, Abia Warriors, Rivers United and Heartland FC trade tackles with five NNL sides including; Ebonyi Angels FC, Solution FC of Anambra, Apex Krane FC of Asaba, Coal City FC of Enugu and Khun Kalifat of Owerri from Friday August 23rd, 2024 to Saturday August 31st, 2024.
