Team Federal Capital Territory (FCT) continued their impressive run at the ongoing Gateway Games, racking up three gold medals on Day 3 and advancing in both male and female basketball events.

FCT swept the Ayo Olopon traditional game finals in style, grabbing gold in the men’s singles and women’s doubles events—both against Akwa Ibom. In golf, Grace Agbo stole the spotlight at the Abeokuta Golf Course, clinching gold in the Gross Event ahead of competitors from 21 states.

On the basketball court, FCT’s dominance was on full display. The women’s team overpowered Bauchi 60–34, while the men outplayed Enugu 67–57 to advance to the next round.

Earlier on Day 2, FCT claimed one silver and two bronze medals in weightlifting.

With seven medals in total—three gold, three silver, and one bronze—FCT is emerging as a formidable force at the festival, showcasing depth and talent across multiple sports.
